Studio brief 02 - Responsive - Collaborative brief - Monotype - Development

Photography session

In order to fulfill the potential of the group brief, a large part of the development was incorporating strong photography elements for promotional use of the campaign and the use of video.

There were a range of different models that were used to best represent the message of the campaign, the aim was to have a range of different body types to be shown as well as ranging in the amount of tattoos an individual had.

Working collaboratively allowed everyone to actively use their preferred skills. As well as photography, there were various video clips taken of the session for further use for the campaign, for animation and any possible touch point opportunity.

I've not been very comfortable with photography in the past,  and although its still something I'm struggling to get the grips of in terms of confidence, it was reassuring having others around me who were comfortable with the equipment, I was able to observe what they were doing, giving direction and suggestions as a group where needed, going over the photos when they were all taken and seeing how successful the outcome was.

I found it really beneficial taking part in this and its something I'd like to explore further with future briefs, in terms of struggling with confidence , there are various oppertuinties to collaborate to resolve this issue.

The outcome of the session overall was successful, individually there were various roles that were taken, there was room for discussion and development and direction as a group in accordance with were the project was developing.
