This imagery was very bold within the above cover. In the context of the concept, it doesn't hold as being as interesting and aesthetically not as strong as it could be. Although sticking to the idea of being 'shocking' there is the question of whether this can be translated with a more subtle tone and still remain relevant to the brief and the story.
In taking a more subtle approach and for there to be an understanding of the content, being intriguing as a concept but not aggressive in tone.
Sourced imagery
In being intriguing there was a sense of using a source of imagery that introduced the story and outlined the tone.
With the use of an evidence bag as the covers subject matter, there is an allowance of information to be on the cover of the book and still a sense of intrigue that can be instantly accessible to the viewer.
The final book cover outcome has been manipulated in order to fit the narrative of the content of the book, keeping the sizing and composition of lettering and a mixture of hand drawn lettering, adding a unique element.
Colour:
Developing feedback in the positive feedback for this use of colour and applying it within a new design.

Incorporating the knife imagery as used previously and as well as using the new element of the source of inspiration image.

Limiting the colour choice to neutral tones and then using a bright imagery conveys a sense of boldness to the work amongst the other imagery.

Through feedback and research, this final piece has been well informed by a variety of elements.
The aesthetic of the piece has been limited to only a few colours in order to inform the tone of the book and its impact as a piece of non-fiction. The piece has effectively been able to communicate the intended feel of the book and the story itself. In terms of the brief and the guidelines, these have been met with thorough consideration throughout.

- "I think the colour palette of neutral tones and then a pop of colour works really effectively in this context especially with the use of a knife"
- The imagery could of been better explored with different uses of weapons etc.
