Studio brief 01 - Responsive - Papyrus - Development

Feedback

Question "Visually what relaxes you?"

By surveying a few different people, there was some insight gained on what individuals found relaxing, since this is quite a subjective question it was important to gain as much feedback as possible and different perspectives.

  • Spiral imagery like swirls
  • Waves
  • Greenery
  • Hills and waves
  • Oceans
  • Warm colours / sunsets
  • Patterns, symmetry

Visual experiments - initial sketches

Exploring this feedback further with some initial sketches testing the validity in the outcome and fitting the brief requirement.

Sketch 01 - Spirals / swirls

This nature of this sketch being done quickly was meant to add ease to the outcome, there was no planning to what was being drawn and was purely created on the idea of fludity as well as spontenaity.

Sketch 02 - Waves

Although its a simple design the purpose of this piece focuses on the simplicity, there is no need for any concerntration its straightforward in how it would be coloured in possibly adding a sense of ease

Sketch 03 - Nature

This sketch was an attempt at creating an image of leafs but without leaving the page, again to create a sense of fluidity by incorporating a natural shape, however the jagged lines created in this technique could create a sense of anxiety.

Sketch 04 - Clouds

The floaty nature of this design is designed to create a sense of lightness and ease.
