Studio brief 02 - Product, range and distribution - Evaluation

Within the research for this brief there was an identification of an everyday but often unaddressed issue of excess household food waste. The potential in the success of developing this idea further was within the level and variety of research undertaken

Within research there were various points which were highlighted in various formats such as  primary research within the form of surveys, secondary research in understanding effective research and data from various sources.

Design choices were informed by this research into data and surveys. When identifying a specific issue there was an audience which could be informed. The tone of voice within the outcome of the the created campaign regards the identified target audience in the choices of design and the nature of the design, the type and colour combined convey the intended friendliness, but remains informative in tackling the issue.

The idea of addressing the issue of food waste was informed from feedback and research. From this identification there was a more thorough consideration of a specific issue. 

The 'product' is the concept of the campaign in being informative to a student demographic with a friendly and approachable tone of voice within the design choices. 
The range was created within developing the concept and implimenting the most effective outcomes in reaching a wide range of people within consideration of accessibility such as social media and video campaign but also physical distribution to be engaging within various environments. The 'product' is presented within the variety of mediums which have been created in order to effectively address the issue, all of which have been considered visually as conceptually in their purpose and effect.

The effectiveness of the outcome as a result is objectively successful overall. There were issues within production of some of the range of mediums (tote bags) however with better time management and consideration of different resources available that still provide there could of been a more efficency in the products.

I was able to expand my understanding of mediums and consider quality more thoroughly in consideration for an audience and conveying a message clearly within different mediums so it was important to have a knowledge of this. The distribution of this campaign was cheaply produced meaning there is the potential in being accessble to a student audience with free distribution meaning the message will be presented on a large scale.
